The task is to try to break the record to get the legendary weapon, The Chopper. The Crucible Champion is a quest you get after you complete The Spire quest. Each round consists of 3 waves of enemies, and the next begins right after the last enemy dies Reward. Eight long and hard rounds, that you must win in order to reach the top and gain the champion title. You can repeat the tournament over and over again, getting your times better and better.

Completing the aforementioned tasks will yield some additional side quests and rewards later on in the game. Give Barnum 5,000 gold for the 'Westcliff Development' quest. Complete either the 'Red Harvest' or 'Cold Comfort Farmer' side-quests. It involves the Hero completing the eight rounds of the Crucible in order to be hired as a Spire Guard Complete the 'The Summoners' quest in Bowerstone Cemetary.
